Sign-in links that survive your email scanner

Some work email systems open every link before you do, which used your sign-in link up. Links now wait for you to press a button.

If you signed in with email from a company inbox, the link could say it had expired the very first time you clicked it. Your mail gateway had already opened it to check it for threats.

What changed

  • The link in the email opens a confirmation page, and you sign in by pressing Continue. Scanners follow links; they do not press buttons.
  • A link works for 15 minutes, and it keeps working if you open it more than once in that time.
  • An expired link now says so plainly, with a way to request a new one.
