Windows now slide in like a native app

Every pop-up slides up from the bottom on a phone and fades in on a computer, with a header that matches the app bar.

Forms and confirmations used to snap onto the screen. They now move the way windows do in a phone app.

What changed

  • On a phone, a window slides up from the bottom edge and slides back down when you close it.
  • On a computer, it fades and scales in place. If you prefer reduced motion, it only fades.
  • Every window header is now the same height as the app bar, with a larger close button that is easy to tap.
  • On the home page, the menu button and the close button of the menu sit in exactly the same spot.
