A heads-up when your card fails, and a week to fix it

If an Explorer payment fails, the dashboard now tells you right away, shows the date Explorer would pause, and takes you straight to updating your card.

A dashboard with a warning bar about a failed payment and an Update card button

Cards expire, banks say no, and it usually happens on a busy day. A failed payment should never be how you find out Explorer stopped.

  • Explorer keeps working for 7 days after a failed payment while your card is retried.
  • Every dashboard page shows a notice with the date Explorer would pause and an Update card button.
  • If the date passes, the notice says Explorer is paused because of the card, not that your subscription ended, and it comes back as soon as the payment goes through.
  • Billing now offers Update payment method instead of a second checkout. The full rules are in the FAQ.

Your trips and credits are never touched: a paused Explorer falls back to the Free plan until the payment succeeds.
