Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Trip Budget you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. What Trip Budget Does

Trip Budget lets you plan trips day-by-day, track expenses in multiple currencies, visualize routes on a map, generate itineraries with AI, and share trips publicly. AI-generated itineraries are a starting point and may contain inaccuracies - always verify prices, times, opening hours, visa requirements, and availability with official sources before booking or travelling. We may update or discontinue features at any time.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and all activity under it. Keep your credentials secure and don't share access with others.

4. Trips & Payments

Every new trip starts from an AI itinerary or from a copy of a shared or community trip, which you then edit in the app, and you pay once per trip. Your first trip is free, no credit card required. The free first trip is one per person: we may withhold it from repeat sign-ups with the same email address, including after an account was deleted, and from disposable email addresses. There is no subscription and there are no plans.

AI trip generation and copying a shared or community trip into your account each use 1 trip. Trips are sold in one-time packs: 1 trip for $4.99, 5 trips for $14.99, 12 trips for $29.99. Trips never expire. The route map, multi-currency totals, group cost splitting, sharing a trip by link and the community listing are included with every trip. A trip with a few planned days is listed in the community automatically, without booking links, and you can hide it at any time. We may hide a listing that breaks these terms.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. All prices are in USD and include any applicable sales tax or VAT, which Lemon Squeezy collects as merchant of record, so the amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay.

You may request a refund of a trip pack within 7 days of purchase if you haven't substantially used its trips. A refund takes the pack's trips back. Contact support@tripbudget.io for refund requests.

5. Your Data

You own your trip data. We store it to provide the service and won't use it for any other purpose. We make reasonable efforts to keep it safe, but recommend keeping your own copies of important information.

6. Sharing

When you enable sharing for a trip, anyone with the link can view the itinerary. Your name and email are never shown on shared trips. You can disable sharing at any time from the app.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't scrape the platform, attempt unauthorized access, upload illegal content, or use Trip Budget for fraudulent purposes. Violations may result in immediate account termination.

Suggestions, bug reports, comments and screenshots you post on the suggestions board are public. Post only what you have the right to share, leave out personal details such as booking references, and keep it civil. You keep ownership of what you post and give us permission to display it and to act on it, including building what you suggest, without owing you anything. We may edit a post's status, remove posts or comments that break these terms, and open posts that get no votes or comments in 60 days are removed.

8. Disclaimers

Trip Budget is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Exchange rates are for reference only. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. Termination

You can delete your account yourself at any time: open the account menu in the dashboard, choose Delete account, and type DELETE to confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your trips, community listings, share links, comments, saved trips and your remaining trips. It cannot be undone, and we keep nothing afterwards except a one-way code derived from your email address, so the free first trip is not granted twice. Deleting your account does not refund trips you have not used. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms and will notify you by email for material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
