Your AI trip now opens with real places already on the map

An AI-generated trip used to come with hotel and activity names but no real places behind them, and every stay, meal and activity carried a booking field pre-filled with a search someone else had already run for you. Generation is also faster now: every trip, long or short, splits into small chunks that generate at the same time instead of one after another.

Already on the map, where it should be

The moment a trip finishes generating, every named activity that is a real place is already pinned to it: the right pin on the map, the right icon on the card, the right address behind it. A generic idea with no real place behind it, like a tapas crawl with no restaurant named, is left open for you to fill in. Your stay and your meals stay open too, on purpose: where you sleep and what you eat are the calls that are always yours, never a guess made on your behalf.

Find places, and Swap place

Any card still open offers Find places. Press it and real candidates near that part of your day appear as lettered pins on the map and as a list beside it, each with its address and what kind of place it is, grouped by category (parks, museums, restaurants) rather than one single search result. Already-placed cards get Swap place in their menu instead, for nearby alternatives.

• Choose a candidate from the list, or press its pin and choose it right there on the map; pressing either highlights the other.
• Open any candidate in Google Maps first if you want the full listing before deciding.
• The place you choose becomes the stop's real location, its icon and its name, exactly as if you had searched for it yourself.

Searching for an activity, you can now check off more than one candidate and add them all at once: two or three museums from the same search land on your day together, in whatever order makes the shortest route, no reordering needed.

No more invented rides

Generation used to add a Taxi or a Metro ride here and there with a price attached to nothing, since it had no place of its own to connect to your day. It no longer does: the day already suggests how to get between two of your own stops for free, and any ride you actually want priced and kept is yours to add.

Booking is yours to fill in

A generated trip no longer fills in a booking link on your behalf. That field is for the confirmation you get once you actually book, so it now starts empty on every stay, meal, ride and activity. The one flight or train between cities now sits on the day it arrives, with its own price and times ready to edit right where you read them, instead of a separate priceless suggestion; a generated flight or train with no price yet still shows you where to look, Google Flights or transit directions, until you have booked it and can paste in the real link.
