Stays, meals, rides and activities now wear the same icons Google Maps uses, in the same colours, everywhere they appear. Stops no longer show twice on the map, and every leg says how you travel it.
Half the work of reading an itinerary is matching what is in the list to what is on the map. Everything in this release is about making that one glance instead of two.
- Stays, meals, rides and activities are drawn with the icon set Google Maps uses for the same things, in its colours. You already know them.
- A stop wears the same number badge in the day's list, on its map marker and in the marker's card.
- A stop on a place Google also labels used to show two icons in the same spot. Now only yours shows, and it carries the place's name beside it.
- Markers are sized to the map's own places, so your trip sits among them instead of on top of them.
- Every leg of the route carries how you travel it: a plane, a train, a taxi, a pair of feet. Solid is a ride you set, outlined is one we suggest.
- The way between two places is drawn the same in your itinerary and on the map, so matching one to the other is a glance.
- Press the icon on any leg to see how long it takes and how far it is, open the directions, or set the ride. That works on the legs between your cities too.
Nothing about your trip changed, only how it is drawn. Your rides, prices and order are exactly where you left them.
