Getting around: link your stops, skip the forms

Your day already knows its stops and the order to visit them in. So Transport is now Getting around: the day from last night's bed to tonight's, with a connection between each pair of stops.

• Tap a connection and pick how you get there: walk, metro, taxi, train, flight. That is the whole form. The ride's two ends are the two stops, so you never search for a place twice.
• Price, times and a booking link are there when you want them, and never in the way when you do not.
• Every connection says about how long it takes and how far it is. The time is an honest estimate ("about 25 min"); type your real departure and arrival and they take its place.
• Each one has its own directions button. It opens Google Maps for exactly that leg, in exactly that mode: the metro as transit, the taxi as a drive, the stroll on foot.
• A connection you have not touched still suggests something sensible: a walk when it is close, a ride when it is not. Nothing is stored until you say so.
• Linking two stops keeps them together. The day still orders itself, but a ride from the museum to dinner means dinner comes right after the museum.
• Changing city is the first connection of the new day, from the bed you woke up in to wherever you land. It also shows between the days in your itinerary, and the map draws it as a long dashed curve.
• Public trip pages show how far each ride goes, and about how long.

A ride to somewhere that is not a stop, like the airport, still has its own form under Add another ride. Rides you planned before are all still there: the ones between two of your stops moved onto their connection, and the rest are listed under Other rides.

Dragging rides into an order and copying a day's rides to another day are gone. A ride's place in the day is now the connection it sits on.
